Reiki Treatments

Recognize Your Own Power

Reiki is a gift of unconditional love that manifests through a continuous flow of energy. It is an ancient Japanese healing modality that has the power to lift longstanding energetic blockages as a means of restoring the proper flow of ki (life-force energy). Many individuals feel the effects of this practice after just one session. The Reiki practitioner is a conduit for this energy of unconditional love to flow through and strengthen/balance the client’s ki.

How it Works

  • Reiki sessions Leigh run 30 or 60 minutes
  • Patients stay fully clothed & recline on a treatment table
  • The practitioner skillfully identifies blockages by gauging the intensity of energy flow
  • A robust flow signals weakness in the corresponding tissue
  • Regulation of the affected tissue can be promptly achieved, either instantly or over a few sessions

Get to Know Leigh

My intention through this work is to provide a safe container for clients to explore their inner world with the hopes that they may recognize their power as their own healers, as this is an innate ability that we all possess.

A bit about me: despite having successfully traversed ADHD, depression, anxiety and subsequently obtaining a bachelor’s in psychology, I still felt that a piece of the puzzle was missing, something that was not achievable by academics or external affirmation – so I turned to meditation practices and ended up finding Reiki by loose association. Reiki has played a very important role in my life, and has strengthened my relationship with both myself and the outside world in ways that I could not have imagined prior, and for that I am deeply grateful. I consider the opportunity to create a safe container for others to heal to be a privilege, and I understand both the magnitude and level of trust that is given when clients enter these spaces. I give Reiki as an offering with the hope that clients are able to reconnect with themselves and their own energy, and that they feel safer both healing and exploring their inner and external worlds.

Reiki is a type of energy work that originated in Japan. It’s a simple method of light touch that is based on the Asian concept of ki or life energy. How does Reiki work?

“Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.”  Source: The International Center for Reiki Training. (n.d.).
